A couple months ago, my husband, Alex, was drumming with a talented vocalist and guitar player, Johanna Chase. So when CBS assigned me a story on the top female musicians in LA, she immediately came to my mind. Then her PR rep saw the article and contacted me regarding an upcoming benefit show she is participating in. The more I learned about it, the more I fell in love with this amazing event – Beatles on Ukulele: The 50 Greatest Hits, a J/P HRO Benefit.
Musically inclined or not, melodic tunes are a part of nearly every day for so many people. Music, arguably, is one of the most important components to living. Accomplished musician or dreamer, these are the best music workshops, worth taking a look at.
And the greatest drummer of all time? My husband, Alex DiCicco 🙂 I should probably mention that we relocated from CT to CA for a big step up in his career, so now he’ll be rocking out LA style! This 2012 conclusion piece was my final article for CBS CT. I have been writing for CBA Los Angeles and will post those articles as they are published. Thanks for reading, and Happy New Year!
My husband is a man of many talents, be it behind a camera, on a sports field, manning the grill, or sitting at a drum kit. As a drummer, he’s played at some pretty cool venues, like Mohegan Sun and the Capitol Theater. But my personal favorite places we’ve gone for him to play have been the chill, laid back joints with decent food (I can’t help it, I love stuffing my face), where we can just relax and have a good time. Here are some of the places I’ve had the most fun listening to live music while enjoying something tasty.
